Limerick manager John Kiely is resigned to being without Richie English for the remainder of the season after the 2018 All-Ireland winner suffered a cruciate ligament injury against Galway earlier this month.

Kiely confirmed after today's two-point win over Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh that the Doon defender sustained the dreaded injury in the first half of the Galway game on February 2 and is now set to undergo surgery.

The Treaty County has lost Paul Browne, Sean Finn and Richie McCarthy to the same injury in recent seasons.
