Clare joint-manager Donal Moloney has urged the county’s supporters to come out in force and get behind the team in this weekend’s Munster SHC clash against Cork.

Despite a heavy defeat to Limerick last Sunday, Clare can still make the All-Ireland SHC quarterfinals with a win over the Rebels.

Moloney states in the Clare Champion that they need to use home advantage to its maximum and he called on the supporters to give the team a push on at Cusack Park.

“The fans will be downbeat and we would appeal to the public to come and support the team, we see the effort and time these boys put in and maybe it’s not working out for them at the moment but I can tell you assuredly they put in one hell of a tough week since the Tipperary game.

“Genuinely fans will recognise it when players have been through a tough time, they’ll respond by providing them with good support.

“We would hope that their families, friends and clubmates would come out and support them next weekend.”
