Kilkenny hurler Joe Lyng has announced his inter-county retirement.
The Rower-Inistioge defender was first drafted into the senior panel in 2012 alongside Walter Walsh and Ger Aylward, who had attended Good Counsel, New Ross along with him. However, he had limited opportunities in the championship and has decided to call it a day following Kilkenny's trip to Sydney for last Sunday's inaugural Wild Geese Trophy match against Galway.
