No announcement on Pat Gilroy’s successor as Dublin senior hurling manager will be made until after the county’s SHC final on Sunday, October 21.
The Irish Independent reports that Cuala’s All-Ireland winning supremo Mattie Kenny, former boss Anthony Daly and Anthony Cunningham, who worked alongside Gilroy this year, are the three front runners for the vacancy.
Kenny – who was overlooked in favour of Gilroy 12 months ago - refused to be drawn on speculation linking him to the job following Cuala’s Dublin SFC semi-final defeat at the hands of Daly’s Kilmacud Crokes last Sunday.
