Croke Park beckons for the Clare hurlers for the first time since their 2013 All-Ireland success and joint-manager Donal Moloney is excited about the prospect of taking on Galway.

The Banner County set up a semi-final date with the All-Ireland champions thanks to an impressive 0-27 to 1-17 quarter-final win over Wexford in Pairc Ui Chaoimh today.

"It's a long time, we've had to earn it and we're back there so and we'll look forward to that," Moloney told RTE Sport shortly after the final whistle.

"But it's not about Croke Park, it's about the next contest. It's Galway in two weeks' time and it'll be a great game."

Moloney was proud of how the Banner County responded to the disappointment of their Munster SHC final defeat to Cork and their accuracy in front of the posts was a key ingredient in their winning formula against the Model County.

"It's challenging to come back after a Munster final and the disappointment of the second half in that. They dug in today and they were just fantastic.

"Every time Wexford closed the gap they really pushed on again. The subs came on and scored and we're very proud of them all today.

"Not just the forwards but all players."
