Cork senior hurlers have lost star forward Alan Cadogan for the rest of their season as result of a serious knee injury.
The Irish Examiner reports today that Cadogan, who missed his county's opening Munster SHC win against Clare last Sunday, is set for a long spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery this week.
The Douglas man hit 1-4 from play in a 'Man of the Match' performance against the Banner men in last year's Munster final and the news undoubtedly comes as a huge blow to Rebels boss John Meyler as he prepares his charges for their provincial second round clash against Tipperary this Sunday.
