One game at a time is the mantra being adopted by Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald who is looking no further that this weekend's clash against Offaly.

The Model County got their Leinster SHC campaign off to a good start last weekend when they defeated Dublin. It took a late flourish of scores to see off the challenge of the Dubs.

But, the result was the main thing and now they face Offaly on Saturday evening. And Fitzgerald told the Wexford People that it was pointless to look any further than the next game.

"Galway and Kilkenny are the furthest from my mind," said Fitzgerald. "I am looking no further than Offaly next Saturday evening.

"We have always found it difficult in Tullamore and Kevin Martin is doing a great job. Offaly are always capable of springing a shock so we will be wary of that.

"Look, we know what it is like to go to Tullamore. Offaly have turned us over there before and they showed against Kilkenny they are making massive progress. It's a huge game and we will need to be fully focused to take the points. It's going to be yet another hell of a battle."
