The launch of Tony Keady's official biography will take place in the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa, Loughrea, Co. Galway next Friday, April 20 at 7.30pm.

Entitled 110 per cent Legend - The Tony Keady Story - the book is edited by former Meath All-Ireland winning footballer Liam Hayes and will go on sale after the launch. The event is being jointly-hosted by Tony's family and Hero Books, and Joe Canning and Cyril Farrell will be on hand to help launch the book, which includes interviews with Conor Hayes, Gerry McInerney, Anthony Cunningham, Tomas Mulcahy and many others, and is a celebration of Tony's life.

Liam Hayes had begun writing the book before Tony's sudden death last August at just 53 years of age shocked the hurling world. Tony's wife, Margaret, his daughter Shannon, and his three boys, Anthony, Harry, and Jake, decided to finish telling the story of a father and a hurler who always asked those around him for "110 per cent."

Poignantly, the 1987 and '88 All-Ireland winning centre back's passing came just a month before his beloved Galway ended a 29-year wait for the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

Everyone who knew Tony and loves Galway hurling is invited to attend the launch.
