Kerry manager Fintan O'Connor welcomes back experienced forward Mikey Boyle to the fold for this weekend's clash against Kildare.

Following the loss to Carlow last Sunday week, the Kingdom cannot afford anymore slip ups in the campaign and to have Boyle back is a huge boost to them.

The Ballyduff clubman missed the opening two rounds of the NHL following a knee operation, but is back now and available for selection, according to O'Connor.

"We'd be hoping Mikey would have a role to play this weekend," O'Connor told the Kerryman. "He played a full hour last weekend in a challenge game, we'd be hoping Mikey is there for us to be honest.

"We'd be delighted with Mikey back. He has that bit of physicality that we were probably lacking against Carlow the last day."

Kerry do have injury concerns over Patrick Kelly (hamstring), Tom Murnane (stomach injury), Daniel Collins (ill), Jordan Conway (calf strain), Brandon Barrett (hand) and Daithi Griffin (toe).
