Galway ace Joe Canning has auctioned off the jersey he wore in September's All-Ireland SHC final victory over Waterford.

The recently crowned 'Hurler of the Year' put his jersey under the hammer in aid of his local national school Gortanumera NS and its new overseas owner was happy to pay a whopping €5,600 to call it his own.
