Manager Martin Regan was full of praise for his Naomh Conaill players after they trumped Clontibret to reach their first Ulster club SFC final in nine years.

The games have been coming thick and fast for the Glenties men over the past month or so, but they keep grinding out the wins.

"I thought that we were excellent in the first 15 or 20 minutes and we could have had a goal right at the start of the game as well," former player Regan reflected in the Irish Daily Star.

"Losing AJ Gallagher to a black card did threw us and it took a few minutes to get organised as he has been at full back for every minute of the championship. We were glad half-time came when it did as it gave us time to settle down and get ourselves readjusted.

"They gave everything that they had out there in the second half. When they (Clontibret) got it back to two points, they had the momentum, but crucially we got the next score and we never looked like conceding a goal.

"It's a dream come true for us to be in this final."
