Dubliner Eoin Morgan captained England Cricketers to World Cup glory.

England's Dublin-born cricket World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan was a ballboy with the Dublin footballers when they won the All-Ireland in 1995.

Current Dublin selector and 1995 All-Ireland winner Paul Clarke recalled on Twitter following England's win over New Zealand at Lords yesterday how the Rush man used to collect footballs at training during a campaign which culminated in Dublin lifting the Sam Maguire for the first time in 12 years.

Morgan went on to become Ireland's youngest senior cricket international at 17 before switching allegiances to England - the country of his mother's birth - in order to play Test Cricket. And yesterday he achieved a career-high by skippering England to a Super Over - which is cricket's answer to a penalty shootout - victory over the Kiwis.
