‘It’s about keeping one thousand people happy abroad playing GAA and that's the main thing’ - Steven Heaphy from host club Abu Dhabi Na Fianna speaking at the conclusion of the Middle East season. 

The championships, which were brought forward to avoid extreme heat in April, saw 100 teams take part, from Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai and more. 

Abu Dhabi lifted Senior honours in hurling, mens football and ladies football. ‘It’s great for the club’, says the Nemo Rangers man. ’The quality we are getting is incredible and long may it continue’.
