Kieran McGeeney hopes a solid league campaign can give his Armagh team an impetus heading into the summer.
The Orchard County narrowly missed out on the All-Ireland quarter-final stage last year and they will be plying their league trade in Division 2 in the coming weeks having secured promotion 12 months ago.
“You have to hit the ground running in Division Two,” 'Geezer' pointed out to the Irish News.
“We know we’re going to be up against it so it’s a big thing for us to try and consolidate, try and hold our position there and get enough points on the board and try and mount a reasonable challenge in the summer.”
