Corn Ui Mhuirí: Holders win with 25-points to spare

There was second round action in the Munster Post Primary Schools Senior 'A' Football Championship (Corn Ui Mhuirí) this afternoon.

Kerry's 2017 All-Ireland minor winning goalkeeper Deividas Uosis scored 1-7 as PS Chorca Dhuibhne sounded out a warning with an impressive 25-point victory.

The reigning champions, coached by Eamonn Fitzmaurice, ran out 5-17 to 1-4 winners against De La Salle Macroom at the Dr Crokes GAA grounds.

The other Group C tie between Hamilton High School Bandon and Skibbereen CS has been scheduled for Friday.

St Francis Rochestown made it two wins out of two in Group A as they beat last season's beaten finalists Tralee CBS, 1-13 to 0-8, at Ballyvourney.

At Knocklong, St Flannans Ennis opened their Group B account with a comfortable 4-12 to 0-3 win over Colaiste Choilm Ballincollig.

Finally, in Group D, Mercy Mounthawk put six goals past IS Killorglin at Farranfore (6-13 to 0-9) while St Brendans Killarney's clash with Clonakilty CS in Millstreet fell foul of the weather.
