Ex-Armagh captain Ciaran McKeever is set to take charge of the Orchard County’s minor footballers.

BBC Northern Ireland reports that the St Patrick's Cullyhanna clubman was ratified at last night’s county board meeting, succeeding Paul McGrane in the role.

McKeever, who retired from inter-county football last year, won four Ulster SFC titles with the Orchard men and captained the county' U21 side to All-Ireland glory back in 2004.

Armagh minors went out to Down by three points in the first round of this year’s Ulster championship before going down to Derry in the qualifiers.
