Kildare's Daniel Flynn attempts a shot

Kildare could be facing into the 2019 season without ace attacker Daniel Flynn.

The Johnstownbridge clubman is currently doing his Masters in accountancy at Maynooth University and says that he has not yet finalised his plans for next year.

"I'll be playing with the college for the next few weeks and thinking things over. I haven't decided either way at this point,” he quoted saying by the Irish Independent.

Defender Jonathan Byrne recently confirmed his departure from the Lilywhites squad and should Flynn prove to be unavailable as well, it would be a huge blow to manager Cian O’Neill as he looks to steer his charges back to Division 1 in the Allianz League and build on this past summer’s championship run saw them reaching the inaugural Super 8s.
