Watch: Down league match marred by another brawl

October 08, 2018

A mass brawl breaks out during the Down Division 1 football league clash between Ballyholland and Downpatrick.

Another day and more shocking scenes from a GAA game in Ulster.

The northern province has been blighted by incidents of violence in recent weeks and yesterday's re-fixed Down Division 1 football league clash between Ballyholland and Downpatrick witnessed another mass brawl which spilled out of the pitch and into the carpark following an altercation between two spectators.

The scenes were similar to those which marred the end of Saturday night's UFC fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas.

The game was re-fixed after the original tie was abandoned after a player allegedly received a kick to the head.
