Rossies to appeal Murray black(s)

July 17, 2018

Tyrone's Connor McAliskey and David Murray of Roscommon

Roscommon will appeal against David Murray's proposed suspension for Saturday's Super 8s meeting with Donegal.

The corner back picked up a black card during last weekend's Phase One defeat to Tyrone at Croke Park and faces a one-match ban as it's the third time he's been seen black this season.

Murray had previously been black-carded against Meath in the opening round of the league and in the Connacht final clash with Galway. He will be freed to face the Ulster champions if any of those three cards can be successfully overturned.

Under similar circumstances, Kildare and Down had Kevin Feely and Kevin McKernan cleared to face Armagh and Monaghan respectively in last year's fourth-round Qualifiers.
