St. Vincent's manager Brian Mullins didn't shed much light on Diarmuid Connolly's whereabouts after the Marino club opened their Dublin SFC campaign without their star man.

Connolly's continued absence from action was the big talking point after St. Vincent's breezed to a 5-18 to 1-9 victory over Skerries Harps at Parnell Park last night. His latest no-show has heightened speculation that he won't be involved with Dublin when they begin their Leinster SFC defence against Offaly or Wicklow next month.

"I don't want to add to any speculation," Mullins is quoted as saying in the Irish Independent.

"Diarmuid has been quite quiet himself. Everybody is talking for him. So I want to respect his wishes that he doesn't want to be the centre of discussion or debate, and he's entitled to that."
