Corofin's Gary Sice says it will be exciting to see Galway's forwards "evolving" over the next few months as the ground hardens.

Sice is currently preparing for his club side's St Patrick's Day All-Ireland final date with Nemo Rangers but, looking at the county scene, he described the potential of Kevin Walsh's attack as "frightening".

"It's early days but they have the potential to do awful damage. If they all clicked on the one day, it would be frightening," the 33-year-old told the Irish Independent.

"It will be exciting for Galway supporters, myself included, over the next couple of months to see them evolving, and getting the hard ground and letting loose on teams."

On Tribe ace Damien Comer, who was the star of NUIG's recent run to the Sigerson Cup final, Sice added: "Damien is just a wrecking ball," he said. "But we get sidetracked by his wrecking-ball status. He is actually a very, very good footballer. As the ground hardens and the weather gets better, he is only going to get better."
