Mickey Harte defended Tyrone's tactics after his side's bid for a seven-in-a-row of Dr McKenna Cups was dashed by Donegal last night.

A tetchy Harte didn't agree with suggestions that the Red Hands need to change their defensive approach when he spoke to the BBC's Mark Sidebottom after the defeat at the Athletic Grounds.

"Every team plays defensive and attacking football. We do the same," he said.

"There seems to be a lot of focus on the way we do it and I don't see any difference to the way any other team does it.

"I wish people would just look at our games in the totality of our championship performances last year and then, perhaps, they might view things through a different lens - I hope."
