Sigerson Cup venue switch pits club-mates against each other at home

February 14, 2018

St Loman's club-mates Ronan O'Toole, Billy O'Loughlin and Shane Dempsey.

Tonight's Sigerson Cup semi-final between NUIG and DIT will be played at Lakepoint Park, Mullingar having originally been fixed for O'Moore Park (throw-in remains at 7pm).

The venue switch pits St Loman's GAA club-mates against each other on their home pitch as NUIG's Ronan O'Toole faces off with Shane Dempsey and Billy O'Loughlin (manager) of DIT.

The trio have enjoyed plenty of success together with O'Toole and Dempsey lining out in attack and Laois native O'Loughlin coming off the bench as the Mullingar club claimed a three-in-a-row of Westmeath SFC titles before reaching the Leinster final last December.

The other Sigerson Cup semi-final also takes place tonight as UUJ and UCD meet at Grattan Park, Inniskeen (throw-in 7pm).
