Former Louth goalkeeper Colm Nally says he doesn't intend "to reinvent the wheel" as Castleknock's new senior football manager.

The ex-Wee County coach has taken over the reins at the Dublin club for 2018 and has a clear vision of what he wants to do with one of the capital's top tier sides.

Impressed with the progress made by the 2016 county finalists, he expresses his admiration for the work already done at the young club.

"I want to continue the good work of the previous management teams. I won't be ripping up the formula, I want to add to it," said Nally, who led Meath's St Colmcilles to an All-Ireland club intermediate final appearance last year.

He added: "I am not setting any targets about winning this or winning that. You have some of the best players in the country in the (Dublin) club championship which means you have to be at your best."

Castleknock begin their Division 1 league campaign on February 25th.
