Sligo manager Cathal Corey believes that playing Roscommon this evening (Wednesday) will be a good test for his charges.
Kiltoom is the venue for Sligo's latest round of the FBD League, while they will play Leitrim in their rescheduled clash in Ballinamore on Wednesday, January 17th.
With one eye on the start of the NFL, Corey believes the more competitive games the better as they prepare to face the Connacht champions.
"They had a good win in their first game and they have a few lads back who opted out and I know they are happy with the panel this year," Corey told the Sligo Champion.
"It's great to have games like these to enjoy as there's no big pressure. For us, it's all about gathering intensity, having the work and the desire there.
He added: "The big test for us is January 28th when we go to Armagh. It's a huge game for us as everything we do is geared towards that."
