Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy is pleased to see some of his more established stars get some much needed game time.
The likes of Noel McGrath was introduced as a second half substitute against Westmeath last weekend, while Seamus Callanan played for the full 70 minutes in the facile win over the Lake County.
It was Tipp’s first win of the campaign and Sheedy told the Tipperary Star that they are edging back to a full squad with each game that passes.
“It was great to get Noel McGrath in on the pitch,” said Sheedy. “He played the spare man and operated the middle-third and got on a nice bit of ball. His touch is as good as ever and it was great to get him back.
“Also for Seamie and for him to get the full seventy minutes and to get 1-1 late in the game was nice too. We still have some more players to come back. We are in a very heavy training schedule which we end for the next couple of weeks but the job against Westmeath was to get a couple of points and help our scoring difference and thankfully we achieved both.”
