Seamus Callanan will captain Tipperary’s senior hurlers in 2019.
Tipp county board confirmed the news this evening on its Twitter account, while also announcing that Noel McGrath would be the team’s vice-captain for the season ahead.
Callanan made his senior debut for the Premier County in 2008, winning two All-Ireland titles since, and takes over the team's captaincy from Padraic Maher.
Tipp begin their Allianz Hurling League campaign this Saturday night against Clare in Thurles (throw-in 7.00pm).
