Tipp minors Cinderella story

(Oldest Posts First)

As a football mad Tipp man living in Waterford, I can say I have never been prouder to have been a follower of Tipp football than I was after the game yesterday. An absolute unbelievable display by all 20 players who played their part in this victory. Ian Fahy bossed the middle section and kicked some magnificent points throughout the game before being sent off late. The management have to be praised again for getting this team so far, to have beaten the likes of Kerry, Cork, Meath and Roscommon is something not many people could have dreamed of at the start of the year. Hopefully now they can do the business in the final.

Paddy Power are doing this Tipp team no justice. They have been underdogs in every single game except for their first match against Limerick and quarter final against Meath. Dublin are still raging hot favourites to lift the cup but if people like Quinlivan and O' Sullivan up their work rates, anything is possible.

ormondebannerman, Tipperary Minor Manager David Power is not from Clonmel. He is from Kilsheelan. I don't think John Owens is involved with the team in any way. Big day next Sunday and hpefully things go well for this fine young team.

Sorry, id read it somewhere that he was.
Owens has helped out at some trainings, not sure to what extent though
It will be great to see a tipp team competing and hopefully winning on the 3rd sunday of september, which hasnt been done for quite a while.
