1040572 Anyone been to clubs matches of late? I hear Drom and the Sars are going well? How's Mullinahone doing?

Drom are going allright, without callanan they would have been in serious trouble against burgess. If they play as bad the next day as they did against burgess they will go out

Surely Drom will finally land a county now. Clonoulty have good players like Devane, O'Neill, Hammersley and O'Keefe though.

Saw Drom playin Loughmore a few weeks ago and wasnt entirely impressed so wasn't surprised to see them go yesterday. I now see Drom going on to win the county final the deserve, although Clonoulty will surely have a big say in that.

Tipp club furious after being ordered to replay
22 November 2011

Ballybacon-Grange officials have been left infuriated after Tipperary GAA chiefs ordered them to replay their senior hurling championship relegation clash with Cashel King Cormacs.

Ballybacon-Grange had won the original fixture after extra-time back in September, but Cashel appealed the game's result on the basis that under rule, no extra-time should be played in the semis and final of the relegation series.

The Tipperary county board had originally turned down Cashel's appeal, but after successfully appealing their case to the Munster Council they will now face Ballybacon once more on December 11 to decide which team will go into a winner takes all relegation final with Borrisokane to maintain their senior status.

Ballybacon-Grange chairman revealed that the club have been told by the county board that if they do not replay against Cashel, they will be relegated.

O'Leary fumed in today's Irish Examiner: "We won the game in extra-time, and both teams agreed to play extra-time. The county board and Munster Council should be ashamed. If we were beaten, we would have went and played Borrisokane. When you're beaten on the field of play, you're beaten on the field of play."

He added that they have yet to decide on their next course of action, revealing: "That's the six-mark question and it wouldn't be right for me to say yet. But we've been finished training for the last eight weeks.

"But we've been told by the county board that if we don't fulfil the fixture, we'll be relegated. We have appealed to CHC in Dublin and whether they'll hear it or not, I don't know."

Looks like this will not be finished till next year at the rate this is going, its totally bonkers and the county board as well the clubs involved need to have a hard look at themselves as ths is rediculous and should have been done and dusted ages ago

I totally agree with you, the county board should be looking to cut the amount of senior clubs by 5 or 6, down to a total of maybe 16. Doesnt kilkenny have a very small amount of senior clubs compared to tipp. North Tipp could drop several clubs, the amount of clubs senior kind of dilutes the quality of the championship to an extent IMO

So this finally looks like ending. Bonkers that a team that started the north championship in april of last year will only end their championship involvement in febuary 10 months later
