Offaly hurling manager Michael Fennelly and his coach Johnny Kelly will be on opposite sides when Ballyhale Shamrocks take on Borris-Ileigh in the All-Ireland club SHC final on January 19.

Former Kilkenny star Fennelly lined out at centre back for Ballyhale who received a major scare from Slaughtneil yesterday, while Kelly managed Borris-Ileigh to their first All-Ireland final appearance in 33 years at the expense of St Thomas'.

They will be in the same camp next weekend when Offaly face Antrim in the Kehoe Cup final at Abbotstown before swapping teams the following weekend.
