Hurling legends to meet for charity

A clash between Tipperary and Limerick hurling legends will be held in aid of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland on Saturday, September 7th.

Throw in for tomorrow’s game will be 5pm at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh with tickets costing €20 for adults and can be bought through Eventbrite; kids go free.

The game will be a throw back to the 1990s and early 00s as Tipperary will feature the likes of Liam Sheedy, Michael Ryan, Michael Cleary, Brendan Cummins, Colm Bonnar and Declan O’Meara.

Limerick have a host of well known names in their ranks too as Joe Quaid, TJ Ryan, Ciaran Carey, Mike Nash and Gary Kirby are all set to don the green jersey for the worthy cause.

A reception will be held in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh where journalist Damian Lawlor will be MC for the evening.
