The county finals were still coming thick and fast, while the provincial campaigns also got underway.

This afternoon saw ten county finals down for decision, three in hurling (Antrim, Dublin and Kilkenny), while there were seven football finals on offer.

In the big ball code, we had finals in Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, London, Tipperary and Waterford.

The Leinster club SFC kicked off with three games, while in the Munster club SHC Waterford’s Ballygunner took on Cork representatives Midleton.

There was also an Ulster club SHC clash between Derry’s Slaughtneil and Ballycran of Down.
