Spectators at last Saturday's Tipperary U12 'A' hurling final between Borris-Ileigh and Holycross-Ballycahill could have been looking at the next Brendan Cummins after young Cathal Kennedy produced a wonder save to win the cup for Borris-Ileigh.
Borris-Ileigh were clinging onto a 1-8 to 1-6 lead when Holycross-Ballycahill had a late chance to snatch victory, but Kennedy displayed cat-like instincts to keep the shot out.
It was a case of double delight for Borris-Ileigh - the club of Tipp star Brendan Maher - who were also crowned U12 'D' champions.
