Roscommon booked their place in this year’s Connacht U20 FC final thanks to a three-point semi-final win over Sligo at Markievicz Park today.
The Rossies came away with a 1-11 to 1-8 victory under their belts and now await the winners of the second semi-final between Leitrim and Galway which was postponed today due to the adverse weather conditions.
Adam McDermott and Sligo’s Red Og Murphy (penalty) traded goals during a first-half which finished with the visitors ahead by 1-6 to 1-1.
The Yeats County finished strongly with a late rally but had left themselves with too big a gap to bridge.
