Two wins out of two and Sligo couldn’t have asked for a better start to the FL4 campaign, according to their manager Paul Taylor.

Having gone through the 2019 campaign searching for an elusive win, Sligo just can’t stop winning this year as following their demolition of London in the opening round, they recorded a hard earned win over Antrim last weekend.

Taylor was not going to deny that the second win of the campaign meant so much to them, but he stressed to the Sligo Champion that it is imperative that they push on from here.

“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t thrilled to get the second successive win. We are delighted, as it was our first home game too,” stressed Taylor.

“It’s good to win it and we knew how tough every game is going to be in the division. Teams are going to drop points and games are going to come down to maybe a mistake or a little bit of magic from somebody.”

He added: “Every team will target their home games and try and win their home games, so we are just delighted to have our first home game won.”

This weekend, Taylor brings his charges to Wicklow and he knows they will face a tough test in the Garden County.

“Aughrim is a fortress for them down there and it’s going to be tough on Sunday.

“Of course, we look forward to going down there as we always do but as I say teams will want to win their home games.”
