Sligo will take a break for a week or so to regroup ahead of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.

Following their defeat to Galway last weekend, Sligo manager Paul Taylor has had time to reflect on the loss and he feels that this campaign is a learning curve for his young players.

The qualifiers are five weeks away and Taylor told the Sligo Champion that they will use the time properly to prepare for the next phase of the campaign.

“It is a long way off but again for this young side, every minute we can get with them and every time we can train, they will get more and more experience, and more and more football. So, they are learning all the time,” said Taylor.

“That is what this is all about, progressing these lads. As I said at the beginning, we have a very young side, and it is about progressing them, and building a team that is going to be competitive in this county and in the future.”
