Tubbercurry manager Pat Kilcoyne has revealed that his side are keen to get out on the pitch after a long lay off.

On Sunday, they take on Coolaney/Mullinabreena in the county SFC semi-final and this will be their first competitive game in five weeks.

The sides are neighbours and fierce rivals so a big crowd is expected to attend this one in Curry on Sunday afternoon.

Kilcoyne admitted to the Sligo Champion that topping the group had its advantages and disadvantages.

“We are all set for Sunday. It has been a long, long wait for us. It’s been five weeks since our last game and when you think about it that is an awful long time,” said Kilcoyne.

“We topped our group and that was good but the bad thing sort of was having to wait so long for our next game. When you’re waiting five weeks lads can get a bit rusty.”
