Being drawn at home in the qualifiers is welcome bonus, according to Sligo manager Cathal Corey.

Fortunately for the Yeats County that is exactly what happened for them in Monday morning's draw as they will host Armagh at Markievicz Park on Saturday week.

Following their heavy defeat to Galway in the Connacht SFC semi-final, Sligo must regroup to take on the Ulster side in ten days time.

And Corey admitted to the Sligo Champion that regardless of who they got in the draw, it was never going to be an easy task.

"There's no easy draw is there? But it's a home draw and that's what you're looking for but there was never going to be an easy one," said the Tyrone native.

"You look at the likes of Mayo, Tyrone and you hear them coming out at the first bit of the draw so we're happy enough to avoid them.

"Armagh is a test but we know them. They're strong, physical and mobile. We had a lot of new players that day (in the league encounter between the sides) and they all did very well. But it's in Markievicz Park and we know we will get a big crowd behind us."
