Despite a bright start, Sligo left Hyde Park empty-handed this evening as Roscommon registered a 3-10 to 3-5 quarter-final victory.

The home side overcame the concession of two early goals to advance to a semi-final meeting with Galway in Tuam next Saturday (4pm).

Cian McKeon (2) and Aidan Dowd bagged the goals for the winners who fought back to lead by 1-5 to 2-1 at the halfway stage.

They outscored Sligo by 2-5 to 1-4 after the resumption.
