One tidy thread is enough. Not sure what to expect v Tipp next weekend but i'll be delighted with any type of win for us.
Our team for next weekend will probably look something like this?
Claffey S. McDermott Collins Ormsby
Purcell Kenny N.Daly Finneran K Higgins D. Shine
Keenan O'Gara Devanney D.McDermott Rogers
So at the moment we have to do without Mannion,Carty,S.Kilbride,Domican,I Kilbride,Ward,O'Grady,C.Cregg & C.Shine.

Tipp will be one of the strongest in this Division & i'd fancy them to beat Roscommon on Sunday.

Collins at FB???? I would have Daly there since he was decent there last year. He needs to build his experience in that position we are crying out for a decent FB. Is Donal Ward fit? What is wrong with Cathal Cregg? I would fance us with our full team but we simply cannot replace the st brigids players and they will be the difference on sunday. Tipp by 4 points. Home or away?

Carty is out with a groin injury but is expected back soon,Cathal Cregg under went minor surgery before xmas & hasn't lined out for DCU this year (yes he's still in college) Collins has been playing FB in recent challenge games & by all accounts he did better than M.Higgins, Sharkey etc did in the FBD. Ward has ankle injury probably keeping him out for a few months.
Since i posted the above possibly team v Tipp i'm hearing O'Gara picked up a knock in training & is rated 50/50 for Sunday.

Not very confident but still expect us to win v tipp. Dont know about Collins at full back would like to see N Daly at 6 think hes been our best underage defender in recent years and think with a bit more exp he will be very good.

Classic ros tactic undermining their hopes. Roscommon were Connaught champions two year ago and runners up last year. Surely they would have more ambition than hoping to run Tipperary (hurling county) close at home.

That Tipperary (hurling county) have been just as successful as Roscommon at under aged football level the last decade. recently at U-21 level not even Kerry, cork have been able to beat them & the same at minor level they beat Cork,Kerry,Dublin & ros last year.

One Player Roscommon will have to watch is Barry Grogan. He has been on fire for Tipperary in the McGrath cup and apparently the Cork keeper was the man of the match purely from all the saves he made from him.

Apart from Shine i don't see much scoring power in that Roscommon line up, in defense it looks very young & inexperienced. Tipp to win by at least 3 points.

Gaa_lover have you seen the roscommon team? 4 of the 6 backs started the connacht final win 2010 and played again in a connacht final last year they all hav a lot of experience. Daly has won a cork senior championship and a sigerson in the last year and he's repersented roscommon at all underage levels, how can you say the backs are too young and experienced?

It has a small covered stand that will likely be full by 2pm you'll need a good warm jacket alright.

Very little cover, small stand that doesnt get the sun so wrap up well. Pitch is excellent and 1 of the best you will see, the grounds staff there put alot of work into it so it should be a good game.
