The Late Mr Michael Walsh The death took place on Friday week last at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinsloe of Mr Michael Walsh, Curnaseer, Kiltoom, Athlone, who was one of Kiltoom's best known senior citizens. Aged 84, he was a native of Hollymount, County Mayo and took up residence in Kiltoom in 1950. A very accomplished driver, he was a driver with Texaco based in Athlone for over 20 years and was also a part- time farmer. A most engaging conversationist, he took a keen interest in current affairs and farming affairs. A lover of all sport, he was a noted handballer in his youth and was a follower of the St. Brigids GAA Club gaelic and handball teams. he is survived by his wife, Rosie (nee Donnelly, Corroclough, Kiltoom) sons, Charles, Glasson and Gerard, Curnaseer, Kiltoom and daughters, Mrs Miriam Finn, New Ross, County Wexford; Mrs Una Maguire, Bray, County Wicklow and Bernadette, Sligo. A member of a family of six, three boys and three girls, he is survived by one sister, Mrs Una Carney, Ballymun, Dublin, 14 grandchildren and innumerable other relatives. Following Mass at the Church of the Risen Christ, Kiltoom on Monday the funeral took place to Kiltoom cemetery. The celebrants of the Mass were Very Rev. John Cullen, PP, Kiltoom and Cam; Rev.
