The late James Kelly The death occurred at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, after a brief illness, of Mr James (Jimmy) Kelly, Newtown, Cootehall, Boyle. Deceased, who was in his 97th year, was a well known member of the farming community. He was a staunch GAA supporter and was an official of St. Michael's GAA club for many years. Predeceased by his wife Marguerite sometime ago, he is survived by his son, Michael (Ardcarne); daughters, Ann (Athlone) and Margaret (Mullingar); granddaughters Sinead and Aisling, her fiance Eddie, daughter-in-law, Josie, son-in-law, Sean nephews, nieces, sister-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends. His remains were removed from the residence of his son Michael (Ardcarne) to St. Michael's Church Cootehall and the funeral took place to Eastersnow Cemetery, following Mass of Christian Burial.
