Rackard Cup: Donegal finish strongly

May 13, 2013
A Sean McVeigh goal was the ultimate difference as Donegal saw off Roscommon in their Nicky Rackard Cup Round 2 clash.

Donegal 1-16
Roscommon 0-16

Played in Athleague, the hosts led by three at the interval - 0-10 to 0-7. However, Donegal produced a strong second half performance to claim victory.

McVeigh's three-pointer came on 43 minutes. This put the sides level - 0-12 to 1-9.

Some superb free taking from Ciaran Mathewson kept the Donegal scoreboard ticking while Gerry Fallon was in fine form for the Rossies.
