Upcoming Fundraiser: With the success of our club teams over the past few weeks (U16 Girls Division 1 Champions, Junior Mens top of Tansey Cup, Minor team second in Division One, U14 team top of Division Two) , its important that we invest in them. To do so we need to fundraise and so we bring to you the latest GAA comedy play - The Pull. This takes place on Saturday 18th May in the Patrician Hall, Cortober.

Results: Well done to the Glancys SV Kilmore/Shannon Gaels minors who beat Roscommon Gaels 1-9 to 1-6 on Monday evening last. Mick Murtagh with the goal

The Glancys Super Valu sponsored Kilmore/Shannon Gaels U14s had another mighty victory in the league, this time over St.Faithleachs. Final Score: 4-12 to 1-02. Goals coming from Dessie Beirne, Marcus Feeney and Jason Conlon. The Tansey Cup against Oran did not go ahead due to an unplayable pitch.

Fixtures: The Glancys SV Glancys SV Kilmore/Shannon Gaels U14s play Tulsk in Kilmore at 7pm on Thursday in the league. On Friday evening the Glancys SV Kilmore/Shannon Gaels U16s play St. Dominics in the championship at 7.30 in Kilmore.

Pairc na Gaeil Cortober: No training can take place in Pairc na Gaeil, Cortober this weekend due to bull sales.

Ladies Well done to Kieran Kilkenny, Niamh O'Beirne, Sile O'Dowd and the Roscommon Ladies on a fiercely fought win over Leitrim in the Connacht championship in blustery conditions in Ballyhaunis on Sunday. The game ended in a draw after normal time but Roscommon pushed on in extra time to win by 5 points.

Hard luck to the Roscommon U14s on losing to Sligo by the narrowest of margins in the Connacht B Final with our own Elaine McDermott captaining the side and receiving player of the match on the day.

The Roscommon U16s will take on Galway in Milltown on Saturday the 18th at 6pm. Best wishes to Aisling O'Hart who is part of the management team and to the 8 club representatives; Connie, Tess, Aisling, Katie, Aine, Christina, Rachel and Emma.

The Ladies club will run a Poker classic on Wednesday 22nd May at 9pm in Jim Glancy's pub.

The Cash for Clobber initiative will be run at the end of the month. Any unwanted clothing is greatly appreciated.
