Minor Hurling Final,
Pearses played Roscommon Gaels in the Minor County Final last Saturday evening in Woodmount , with a good crowd to cheer on both teams. Playing with the wind Roscommon Gaels got off to a good start, Pearses only managed the single point in the first half while the Gaels were far more effective in their conversion rate. The teams went in at half time Pearses 0-1 Roscommon Gaels 0-7. With the strong breeze in the second half hopes where high for a come back but despite relentless pressure the Gaels held out for a well earned victory, Final Score Pearses 0-5 Roscommon Gaels 0-10, The Club would like to acknowledge all the hard work put in by this squad who have enjoyed good success through the grades. A special word of thanks to their Mentors Padraig Dooley, Sean Finnerty and Paddy Hendricks.
Minor Football.
A very big thanks to the large numbers who turned out on last Friday evening for the Quiz organised by Minor Football Management.
The minor footballers played St Bridgets last Tuesday in Kiltoom in round seven of the division 1 football league. Pearses got off to a good start, dominating midfield and putting a lot of pressure on the opposition and went in at half time with a lead of 0-9 to 0- 4. Pearses created a number of goal scoring chances and were unlucky not to have at least one before half time. St Bridgets came into the game in the second half and closed to within three points but the Minors showed great resilience and determination to pull away to win on a scoreline of Pearses 0-16 St Bridgets 0- 9 . There were excellent performances and good the work rate was second to none. Best for Pearses included Gavin Downey, Adam Finnerty, Shane Kenny and Darren Kelly but special mention has to go to Adam McManus who was outstanding for the entire game. Well done lads.

Senior Hurling
Our Senior Hurlers had two wins in the Roscommon Senior League over the last two weekend which earned us a place in the League Semi Final on June 15th.
Our Next match in the League is against Athleague on June 9th in Woodmount.

Senior Football
Pearses Junior A's Played St Ronans in the Tansy Cup last Saturday evening at Woodmount. Aided by a strong breeze St Ronans fared best in the first half, but points from Paul Duke, Thomas Ryan, David Whelan, David Grehen and Ja Egan kept Pearses in touch, Half Tme score Pearses 0-5 St Ronans 0-7, The second half saw a torrent of goals from both sides with two from Paul Duke, and goals each from David Grehan, Jason Clogher and sub Gerry Kelly. Fixtures: The very best of luck to the Senior Footballers who take on St Flaitheadhs in the first round of the senior championship next Sunday at 2.00 p.m. in Ballyforan. The under 16 footballers are home to St Bridgets on Friday evening at 7.30. While the Under 14s play St Ciarans also at home Thursday night at 7.00p.m.
