Footballers take a walk in the park
May 09, 2013
Roscommon footballers took some time out of their hectic schedule to visit the Lough Key Forest Park in Boyle recently.
As the footballers continue their preparations for the Connacht senior football championship semi final, training is at full tilt throughout the coming weeks.
However, as part of a bonding session, they travelled to the local park and Roscommon senior team management member Niall Kilcrann admitted to the Roscommon Herald that it was a worthwhile visit.
"It's an area that has an awful lot to offer teams, clubs and the vast population in general. It is unique in that it has such activities as 'Zip-it', the Bodaberg as well as miles and miles of tracked forest walkways," said Kilcrann.
"Let it be for team training away from the pitch, a leisurely walk or just to take in the views, Lough Key Forest Park has it all."
