The club was deeply saddened this week by the passing of Thomas Mahon. The club extends its deepest condolences to Mary Ann, Thomas Jnr and Sean, his extended family, relatives and a large group of friends on his untimely death. Thomas was a long-standing member of the club and served as chairman between 2009 and 2010.

Thomas also achieved much success with the underage and senior teams that he was involved in during the years. The large turnout for his funeral on both Sunday evening and Monday showed the respect that he was held in within the community and Western Gaels GAA club. May he rest in peace. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
