Fox cleared as Harney appeal fails

March 01, 2019

Tipperary's Brian Fox and Ultan Harney of Roscommon.

There was mixed news for Tipperary and Roscommon following last night's Central Hearings Committee meeting.

The red card Tipp's Brian Fox received for an incident involving Armagh's Jamie Clarke last weekend was rescinded, thus meaning he will be available for tomorrow night's Division 2 relegation battle with Cork at Semple Stadium.

Roscommon’s Ultan Harney also appealed the red card he picked up in the second half of last Sunday's defeat to Cavan, but his suspension was upheld, meaning he will miss Sunday's visit of All-Ireland champions Dublin to Dr Hyde Park.

Also at last night's hearing, Dr Crokes midfielder Johnny Buckley was cleared to play in the All-Ireland club SFC final against Corofin on St Patrick's Day after having the red card he received against Mullinalagtha overturned.
