Tourlestrane joint-manager Eamonn O’Hara has played down speculation linking him to the vacant Roscommon job.

O’Hara is one of the names that has been continuously linked to the Roscommon senior manager’s position following Kevin McStay’s departure last month.

At the moment, O’Hara is focused on preparing his native club for the defence of their Sligo senior football championship title.

When asked by the Sligo Champion about his link to the position, O’Hara was adamant that he was not in the running for the job.

“That’s a non-runner,” stated O’Hara. “Right now my focus is Tourlestrane. I’m not sure where that story is coming from. I put my name forward for the Sligo job, unfortunately my work commitments change and I couldn’t commit.

“Management of top teams takes a lot of time and effort and I just don’t have that to give unfortunately.”

Owen B Hunt Cup champions Tourlestrane will meet neighbours Tubbercurry in Sunday's county SFC final at Enniscrone (throw-in 4pm).
