Athleague claimed the Mickey Cunniffe Cup for the first time since 2007 when upsetting the odds against Four Roads today.

The hosts finished with a goal to spare (2-11 to 1-11) over the favourites.

Seamus Qualter’s side dominated the first-half and built up a sizeable 2-7 to 0-2 lead which helped them withstand a second-half Four Roads rally.
